Head
Coach Gordon Wetmore
Coach Wetmore is
beginning his 28th season as Head Boys Soccer Coach. He teaches 10th Grade World History and 11th grade
US History. He referees high school basketball and umpires baseball. He celebrated his 24th wedding anniversary with
his wife, Amy. Their family has one son, Gordie and one daughter, Kate.
Coach
Wetmore finished High School in Columbus, Ohio and holds a BA in History from Eastern
Nazarene College in Quincy,
MA, a Master’s Degree in Movement Education from Boston
University and holds a Kansas Administrative License through a graduate program at
Baker University.
He is a life-long Boston sports fan who even watched the old
NASL Boston Minutemen play at BU.

Coach Anthony Dallen (JV Team/ Varsity Assistant Coach)
Coach Dallen is in his 5th year of coaching soccer for SMW. He works as a warehouse
coordinator for a local company called Collector's Cache. Coach Dallen graduated from SMW in 2004 and played his senior year
on the varsity soccer team. He then went on to Washburn
University where he developed and played for the men's club soccer
program. Coach Dallen has been playing soccer his entire life and enjoys teaching students to play the wonderful game!

Dallen graduated from Washburn University
in the Fall of 2008 with a BBA in Finance and Marketing. He is an entrepreneur and plans to be running his own business
in the automotive industry in the near future.

Michael Rhoades (C Team/ Varsity Assistant)
Coach Rhoades grew up
in the St. Louis area and starting playing soccer at the age of 8. He played at St. Thomas Aquinas High School (Florissant)
and came to Kansas City to play at Rockhurst College. After a stint in the Army, he came back to play in men's leagues in
the old Heart of America Soccer League, comprised of a majority of immigrant players from all over the world including a team of mostly
Hungarians. He also played in indoor men's and coed leagues at various venues.
Rhoades started coaching in earnest
in 1983. He coached both boys and girls team from 1983-98. He was a Missouri ODP boys staff coach in 1995 and '96. He was
the girls ODP coach/administrator for all the Missouri districts outside of St. Louis in 1996 and '97. He was the boys assistant/technical
coach at J.C. Harmon High School from 2003-11, winning 108 games (75 percent). He joined the SM West girls program in the
spring of 2012 as an assistant coach and the boys program in the fall of 2012.
Rhoades has a USSF 'D' license and a
NSCAA Goalkeeping Level I diploma. He has attended many clinics and seminars in various parts of the country.
